Luxury Bathroom Remodeling in South Florida

Custom showers, spa baths, and primary suites from Hobe Sound to Boynton Beach.

Florida

Seaboard Builders provides luxury bathroom remodeling in South Florida for homeowners and design professionals who expect the bathroom to be built to the same standard as the rest of the house. Most of the bathrooms we open up in Hobe Sound, Tequesta and Jupiter look fine on the surface. The real story is behind the tile.

Todd Arsenault founded Seaboard in 2015, building architect-designed homes and renovations along the Jersey Shore. Coastal construction is what we know. Salt air, humidity, storm season and buyers who notice every grout line. That experience carries straight into our South Florida work, where the conditions are just as hard on a bathroom and the expectations are just as high.

What Luxury Bathroom Remodeling in South Florida Actually Involves

A finished bathroom is mostly invisible work. Waterproofing, slope, blocking for grab bars you may not want yet, venting that actually moves air out of the house. Get those right and the stone, glass and fixtures look good for decades. Get them wrong and the best marble in the world starts staining inside two years.

Luxury bathroom remodeling in South Florida also means building for a climate that never really dries out. Houses here are typically concrete block on a slab, and plumbing runs through that slab. Moving a drain is not a simple afternoon of cutting joists like it is in an older wood-framed shore house up north. It means saw-cutting concrete, rerouting lines and planning the layout around what the slab will allow.

Primary Bathroom Remodel Projects Built Around How You Use the Room

A primary bathroom remodel starts with how two people move through the space at 6:30 in the morning. Where the light falls. Which side of the vanity each person uses. Whether the tub actually gets used or just collects towels. We have pulled out plenty of oversized garden tubs from the 1990s and early 2000s that nobody has filled in years, and turned that floor space into a larger shower and a proper dressing area.

High-End Bathroom Remodel Work for Guest Suites and Secondary Baths

A high-end bathroom remodel does not have to mean the primary suite. Guest baths, pool baths and powder rooms get the same attention to detail. Pool baths in particular take a beating in South Florida. Wet feet, chlorine, sand and constant traffic call for slip-resistant floors and finishes that clean up easily.

Curbless Shower Installation on a South Florida Slab

Clients ask for a curbless shower more than almost anything else, and for good reason. It opens the room up, it is easier to live with as you get older and it simply looks better. Curbless shower installation on a slab-on-grade house takes more planning than most people expect.

To get a true zero-threshold entry, the shower floor has to sit lower than the bathroom floor so water drains properly. On a concrete slab, that often means recessing the slab itself. We check slab thickness and where the post-tension cables or rebar sit before anyone cuts anything. Then we set the slope, install a linear drain and run a continuous waterproofing membrane well past the wet area. Skipping steps here is how water ends up under the bedroom floor next door.

Designing a Spa Bathroom Remodel That Holds Up in Coastal Humidity

A spa bathroom remodel is about how the room feels. Steam, warm floors, soft lighting, a deep soaking tub where it makes sense. Down here, every one of those features adds moisture to a room that already deals with plenty of it.

That is why ventilation gets as much thought as the steam generator. We size exhaust fans for the actual room volume and run them to the exterior, never into an attic. Near Jupiter Inlet or along the Intracoastal in Tequesta, we steer clients toward PVD-coated fixtures and marine-grade hardware, because standard finishes pit and discolor faster than you would believe in salt air. Natural stone gets sealed properly and comes with a care routine, not just a warranty card.

The stone is the easy part. The bathrooms that last are the ones where somebody cared about the parts you never see.

How Seaboard Builders Runs a Bathroom Project from Drawings to Final Walkthrough

Every project starts with a site visit. We look at the existing plumbing, the slab, the electrical panel and the condition of the walls before we talk numbers. That way the estimate reflects the actual house, not a guess.

From there, the process is straightforward. We finalize the layout and selections with you and your designer, pull permits, then schedule trades in the right order so the tile setter is not waiting on the plumber. The owners stay on the job from start to finish, and you get regular updates along the way. Seaboard is fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work after the final walkthrough.

Working with Architects and Interior Designers on Luxury Bathroom Remodeling

A large share of our portfolio is architect-designed work, so we are comfortable building from a full set of drawings and a designer’s finish schedule. We review details early and flag anything that will not work in the field, like a vanity depth that blocks a door swing or a niche that lands on a structural column. Catching it on paper costs nothing. Catching it after tile is set costs a lot.

Designers who work with us on luxury bathroom remodeling tend to appreciate a builder who asks questions before the demolition starts, not after.

Condos & HOAs

Condo and HOA Bathroom Remodels on Singer Island and the Barrier Islands

Condominium work has its own rules. Associations on Singer Island and in many Palm Beach Gardens communities restrict work hours, require proof of insurance and often need approval before any plumbing moves. Some buildings limit noise on certain days or require soundproofing underlayment under new tile floors. We handle the paperwork and coordinate with building management, so the project does not stall waiting on a board meeting.

  • PVC shower pan liner filled with water for a leak test before tile
  • Tile setter grinding the edge of a large marble-look porcelain tile
  • Dark wood cabinets going in with the floors covered in protective paper and a miter saw set up
  • Worker fastening drywall around an opening in a freshly skimmed bedroom wall

FAQs

Questions South Florida Homeowners Ask Before a Luxury Bathroom Remodel

How long does a primary bathroom remodel take in South Florida?

It depends on the scope and how long custom items like glass and stone take to arrive. Permits and condo approvals can add time on the front end. We give you a realistic timeline after the site visit.

Can you install a curbless shower in an existing home?

Usually, yes. On a slab-on-grade house it often means recessing a section of the slab, which we evaluate during the site visit before committing to the design.

What does luxury bathroom remodeling in South Florida cost?

It depends heavily on layout changes, materials and whether plumbing moves. We give a detailed estimate after seeing the space, not a ballpark over the phone.

Do you work with my architect or designer?

Yes. Much of our work is built from architect drawings and designer specifications, and we are happy to come in early during design.

Which areas do you serve?

We work throughout South Florida, including Hobe Sound, Tequesta, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Worth, West Palm Beach, Singer Island and Boynton Beach.

Do you also remodel bathrooms in New Jersey?

Yes. Seaboard started on the Jersey Shore, and we still handle luxury bathroom remodeling in New Jersey from Margate to Cape May.
